The course demonstrated how to utilize stencils to your projects with minimal supplies. For today's card I made a Masculine card. I have used a few techniques creating my card.
First I create my own colour embossing paste by tinting the embossing paste with the Altenew Blue Mountains Indigo Skies Fresh Dye Ink. I then used it through the Altenew Buffalo Plaid Builder Stencil to get texture and also dimension.
Tip:
When working with embossing paste you must clean your stencil and palette knife right away. Do not allow it to dry, because it will be very difficult to clean.
Following on from this I stamped the Altenew Seas The Day Stamp onto blending cardstock and coloured it with the Altenew Artist Markers Mystic Garden Set J. The alcohol markers just blends perfectly and the end result is a beautiful bright and striking coloured image.
I then added numbers onto the sail of the boat using my Calligraphy Pen and fussy-cut it. I adhered it onto the card front using 3D foam dots.
To finish I heat embossed the Altenew Seas The Day Sentiment Stamp.
I will share more of my projects from the AECP as I work my way through the courses so stay tuned for more cardmaking posts!
