Guitar Pop-Up Easel Block Card - Couture Creations

Hi Everyone, Anet here today and welcome to my inspiration post.

I made a Pop-Up Easel Block Card with the new released Lucy's Every Day Outline Stamps Collection and Gel Printing Plate from Couture Creations.

I found the inspiration from Sam's Blog.

Step by Step Instructions:

Measurements needed to make Pop-Up Easel Block Card:
  • Card Base - 1 Piece of 11 1/2" x 5" Ulysses Cardstock. Score along the 11 1/2" side at 1", 2", 3", 4" and 8".
  • 3 Pieces of 3/4" x 4 3/4" Stamping Technique Press Print to cover the 3 sides of the block.
  • Card for the Easel Side - 1 Piece of 4" x 5" Ulysses Cardstock. Score along the 4" side at 3 1/2".
  • Main Front Panel - 1 Piece of 5" x 7" Ulysses Cardstock and 1 Piece of 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" Stamping Technique Press Print.
  • Stamp Image - 1 Piece of 2 3/4" x 5 3/8" Blending Card.
  • To Cover the Inside Base of the Card - 1 Piece of 4 3/4' x 3 1/4" White Cardstock and 1 Piece of 4 3/4" x 2 3/4" Stamping Technique Press Print.
I first trimmed Ulysses Cardstock, scored it and fold the score lines. I then glued the fourth scoring section using Couture Creations Clear Gel Tacky Glue and fold the third and fourth scoring sections over onto the card base.

Tip: The Tacky Glue dries clear and you have a small window of opportunity to reposition you cardstock while the glue is wet. Good quality glue.

I cut the Stamping Technique Press Print I created with the Gel Printing Plate and adhere it onto the three sides of the block.

If you unfamiliar to the Gel Plate or just want to familiarize yourself  again just visit my Gel Printing Plate Technique Blog Post.  I made Four Videos showing you how to create with the Gel Printing Plate.

For the Easel side I trimmed Ulysses Cardstock, score it and fold the score line. I then adhere it onto the card base using Couture Creations Clear Gel Tacky Glue.

For the Main Front Panel a trimmed Ulysses Cardstock and adhered the Stamping Technique Press Print I created with the new released Gel Printing Plate. I glued it on the easel card base using Couture Creations Clear Glue Tacky Glue.

I then cut Blending Card and stamped the Lucy's Every Day Framed Guitar Stamp using the Stamp and Colour Outline Ink Pad Soft Black. I coloured it with the Twin Tip Alcohol Ink Markers and adhere it onto the Easel Card Base using 3D foam dots.

Twin Tip Alcohol Ink Markers Combinations:

Guitar: 279, 2727, 286, 319, 323, 327, 401, 656, 5305, 0, 454, 431, 430 and White Gel Pen
Blue around frame: 279, 2727, 286
Shadow: 9482

To decorate the inside base of the card I cut white cardstock and the Stamping Technique Press Print. I adhered it to the inside using Couture Creations Clear Gel Tacky Glue.

To finish I die-cut Silver Mirror Board with the Homely Florals Happy Sentiment Die.

Gel Printing Plate Techniques - Couture Creations

Hi Everyone, Anet here today and welcome to my inspiration post.

Using the gel plate is very new to me, but I thought this is a great opportunity for you and me to share the journey together. To keep the videos short I have four videos where I show you how to create beautiful prints using different techniques with the Couture Creations Gel Printing Plate.

Step by Step Instructions:

Video 1 - Prepare Work Area for Gel Printing Plate

Are you new to Gel Printing?  My video tutorial below will show you how to:
  • Prepare your work area for Gel Printing.
  • What tools or products you will need.
Tip:  Bear in mind that your Brayer have a stand with two metal pieces. Do not use the Brayer the wrong way around. The metal pieces might damage the Gel Plate surface.

Are you ready? Just click the video link
to get started with one of the four videos in my series.

Video 2 - Stamp Technique

The Stamp Technique together with the Couture Creations Gel Printing Plate is the perfect way to get more out of your stamps. Follow my video tutorial below to learn how to create prints using Acrylic Paint and the Stamp Technique.

Tip:  Give the Stamp a quick wipe, because you do not want the paint to dry on the stamp. You can do a proper clean after your craft session.

I have a surprise on the way ... please visit my blog again where I will give you a project idea using this fantastic background print.

Get ready with a cuppa and click the video link
to learn about the Stamp Technique with the Gel Plate.

Video 3 - Stencil Technique

Do you have allot of stencils and might have neglected them for a while? My video tutorial is the perfect time to dust of those stencils and use the Stencil Technique together with the Couture Creations Gel Printing Plate to create prints.

Tip:  I find it better to mix the paint on the Couture Creations Glass Mat rather on the Gel Plate. You can reuse the paint on the Glass Mat for your next press.

I have the perfect project idea for you to use this gorgeous background print. Be sure to come back again to my blog.

Do you wonder how I created this?
Just click the video link.

Video 4 - Die-Cut Technique

I just love dies and if you like it as much as I do, this video tutorial is the perfect way to learn how to create prints with the Couture Creations Gel Printing Plate, using Acrylic Paint and the Die-Cut Technique.

With the Die-cut Technique you not only getting a fantastic background print, but the die-cuts are simultaneously coloured with the Gel Plate and you can use it on another project.

Please visit my blog again for a surprise project inspiration where I will be using this beautiful background print.

Tip:  When we think of layers on our Gel Plate we need to think about what we put on first, because that will be at the front of the print once you lift it off from the Gel Plate.

This video is the final video in my series.
Are you ready? Just click the video link.
