Vertical Trifold Window Seasell Card - Couture Creations

Hi Everyone, Anet here today and welcome to my inspiration post. I made a Vertical Trifold Window Seashell Card with the Seaside Girl Collection from Couture Creations

I found the inspiration from Wendy's Blog.

Instructions:

My video tutorial below will show you how to create this fabulous Vertical Trifold Window card which is loaded with interactive features.

Follow my video for the measurements of the two card bases.

The front window was created with die-cutting the Seaside Girl Patterned Paper with the Seaside Girl Conical Seashell Die. Follow my video tutorial below to learn how to add this feature.

I stamped a sentiment onto the Seaside Girl Patterned Paper and heat emboss it.

I also die-cut white cardstock with the Seaside Girl Seagulls and Achored Dies, coloured it and adhere it onto the front window.

To create a inner card layer I added another card base. I will show you how to create this in my video tutorial below.

To embellish the inner card layer I stamped blending cardstock with the Seaside Girl Conical Seashell Stamp, colour it with alcohol markers and die-cut it with the Seaside Girl Conical Seashell Die

I then stamped a sentiment onto the Seaside Girl Patterned Paper and heat emboss it.

I also added some Seaside Girl Ephemera Diecuts.

For the two inner card layers I stamped the Seaside Girl Seaside Elements Stamp Set onto white cardstock and heat emboss it.

With the card closed I then inserted the seashell stamped image by adhering it to the inner card layer to finish. I will show you how to create this in my video tutorial below.

Alcohol Ink Resin Coasters - Couture Creations

Hi Everyone, Anet here today and welcome to my inspiration post. I made some coasters using the new Clear Casting Resin and Alcohol Inks from Couture Creations

Instructions:

I first warmed the Clear Casting Resin Part A and B in a water bath.  This is necessary if the weather is cold outside or the resin is cold. It brings the resin up to temperature and restore the consistency. The added advantage is that it greatly reduces the amount of bubbles and is good when you pour resin into silicone moulds.

Tip:  Do not get any water into the resin hardener it will turn the mixture cloudy.

For the four coasters I measured equal volume of 65g of the Clear Casting Resin Part A and B.

Tip:  Use gloves when you pour the resin into the cups.

I then poured it into a mixing container and stir it.

Tip: Stir the resin thoroughly for 3 minutes.  Scrape along the sides and bottom as you stir to ensure the total mixture will catalyse properly and cure as expected.

After I stirred it thoroughly I pour it into the silicone coasters.

I used different Alcohol Inks for the four coasters.

For the first coaster I used the following Alcohol Inks: Snow, Sail Boat, Ice Blue and Daffodil.

The second coaster I used Alcohol Inks: Snow, Shamrock, Citrus and Wine.

I then used Alcohol Inks: Snow, Jade and Mulberry for the third coaster.

Lastly I used Alcohol Inks: Snow, Sail Boat, Ice Blue and Shamrock for the fourth coaster.

The first two coasters I left the alcohol ink to do its magic with the resin.

The last two coasters I used a skewer and lightly moved the alcohol ink around in the resin.

Tip: You have about 45 minutes of working time before the resin cure.

To finish off I then covered the resin coasters with a box to protect it from dust and let it sit over night.

Tip: In about 24 hours it will be hard to the touch and after 72 hours it will be fully cured. Cure time will be decreased in a warmer room.

After 24 hours I took the resin coasters out of the moulds.  It was hard to touch and I placed it flat onto the surface to fully cure for another 48 hours.

First coaster - Alcohol Inks: Snow, Sail Boat, Ice Blue and Daffodil.

Second coaster - Alcohol Inks: Snow, Shamrock, Citrus and Wine.

Third coaster - Alcohol Inks: Snow, Jade and Mulberry

Fourth coaster - Alcohol Inks: Snow, Sail Boat, Ice Blue and Shamrock
