Butterfly Garden Pop-Up Card Box and Envelope - Couture Creations

Hi Everyone, Anet here again to share some inspiration with you for the Couture Creations Blog.

I thought it will be special to create a Pop-Up Card Box for Mothers Day and an envelope to place it in.

I used the new released collections of
Butterfly Garden and Modern Essentials 
from Couture Creations. 

Pop-Up Card Box:

Trim Royal Midnight Cardstock to 29.7cm x 16.5cm. 

I used the Couture Creations Scoring Board to score at 7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm and then turn it over and scored it on the long side at 71/2cm. Fold the score lines and cut the flaps.

To decorate the inside and outside of the box I used the pretty Butterfly Garden Designer Papers. 

Inside: Cut Butterfly Garden Designer Papers to 6 1/2cm x 7cm (you need 4).

Outside: Cut Butterfly Garden Designer Papers to 6 1/2cm x 7cm (you need 3), 6 1/2cm x 8 1/2cm (you need 3) and 6 1/2cm x 16cm (only one).

Adhere the pop-up box together.

Strips to add inside of box:

Cut Royal Midnight Cardstock to 2 1/2cm x12cm and score with Couture Creations Scoring Board at 1 inch on both sides.

Cut Royal Midnight Cardstock to 9cm x12cm and score with Couture Creations Scoring Board at 1 inch on both sides and turn and score at 2 3/8 inches. Fold score lines.

There is a little pocket for adding a gift card.

Adhere strips to the inside of the box.

Die-cut:

- Royal Midnight Cardstock with Butterfly Garden Rose Bouquet and Baby Moths;

- Kahlua Cardstock with Butterfly Garden Butterfly Corner and Beehive;

- Battle Fatigue Cardstock with Le Petite Jardin Evening Branch.

Foil with Modern Essentials Cut, Foil and Emboss Nesting Inset Oval Frame Die:

1. Heat Metal Conversion Plate, Modern Essentials Nesting Inset Oval Frame Die sharp edges up and GoPress & Foil Machine.
2. Place Heat Activated Foil with the shiny side down.
3. Add white cardstock.
4. Close lid and heat up for 30 seconds.
5. Wind slowly through die-cutting machine.

Foil with Butterfly Garden Floral Lampost Cut, Foil and Emboss Die:

1. Heat Metal Conversion Plate, Butterfly Garden Floral Lampost Die and GoPress & Foil Machine.
2. Place Heat Activated Foil with the shiny side down.
3. Add Royal Midnight Cardstock
4. Close lid and heat up for 30 seconds.
5. Wind slowly through die-cutting machine.

Foil with Butterfly Garden Die-Cut:

1. Heat Metal Conversion Plate and GoPress & Foil Machine.
2. Place Heat Activated Foil with the shiny side down.
3. Add Butterfly Garden Queen Bee die-cut onto foil.
4. Add a shim.
5. Close lid and heat up for 30 seconds.
6. Wind slowly through die-cutting machine.

Envelope - Step by step instructions:

1. Trim Butterfly Garden Pattern Paper to 25.4cm x 25.4cm. 

I then used the Couture Creations Scoring Board with the envelope guide and scored the first line at 5 3/4 Inches. I then repeatedly rotate and score the other lines.

2. I used the Couture Creations Corner Punch and Corner Cutter to cut all four corners.

3. Add glue and create envelope.

4. I decorated the front and back of the envelope using dies:

• Butterfly Garden - Butterfly Corner
• Butterfly Garden - Baby Moths
• Le Petit Jardin - Midday Corner
