Wild Rose - The Paper Shelter

Hi Everyone, are you ready ...

It is time for a new challenge at Paper Shelter

and the theme is Stencil It!

Now here is my card 

using Wild Rose.

Coloured with Copic Sketch Markers.

I first embossed the panel with the Altenew Inky Trellis Stencil.

Tip:

Just remember to use an embossing mat and the special sandwich for your die-cut machine in order to get the perfect embossing with the stencil.

Following on from this I ink blend through the Altenew Halftone Stencil using the Altenew Frosted Foliage Fresh Dye Ink and added splatters using the Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set. I then adhered the panel onto the card front using the Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

I then coloured the beautiful The Paper Shelter - Wild Rose image with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers, fussy-cut it and adhered it onto the card front using 3D foam dots.

To finish I stamped the Altenew Bold Sentiments Stamp with the Altenew Blue Mountain Fresh Dye Ink and adhered it onto the card front using 3D foam dots. I also added some gems.

Watercolor Flower Card - Artists’ Watercolor 101 for Paper Crafters - AECP Level 3

Hi Everyone, today I am sharing with you my third completed card for the Altenew Academy Level 3 Classes – Artists' Watercolor 101 for Paper Crafters, taught by Emily Midgett. The course demonstrated how to apply different watercolour techniques, laying down layers of colour to achieve greater depth and dimension in watercolouring. 

I am very new to watercolouring and Emily provided such great guidance and tips. If you ever wonder how to start with watercolouring this is the perfect class. 

For today's card I used a few Watercoloring Techniques using the Altenew Delicate Garden Stamp & Die Set and Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set. I just love the beautiful soft and intense pigmented colouring I achieved.

First I created a wet-on-wet watercolor background using the Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set, Altenew Watercolor Paper Pad and Altenew Watercolor Brush Set. 

Following on from this I added splatters using the Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set and Altenew Watercolor Fine Brush. I then adhered it onto the card front using the Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

I then stamped the Altenew Delicate Garden Stamp onto the Altenew Watercolor Paper Pad using the Altenew Stampwheel and Blackout Ink on 3.

Following on from this I water coloured the flower image using the Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set and Altenew Watercolor Brush Set. I used the Fresh Lemon, Bamboo, Warm Sunshine, Forest Glades and Espresso. 

I then die-cut the water coloured image with the Altenew Delicate Garden Die and adhered it onto the card front using 3D foam dots.

To finish I die-cut white and blue cardstock with the Altenew Envelope Liner Hello Die to create a shadow effect sentiment. I adhered it onto the card front using 3D foam dots and added some sequins.

Caribbean Boat Card - Stencils Unleashed: Advanced Stencil Techniques - AECP Level 3

Hi Everyone, today I am sharing with you my second completed AECP Level 3 – Stencils Unleashed: Advanced Stencil Techniques Card. 

The course demonstrated how to expand your crafting techniques and take your stencils to the next level. It was such an informative class and Nicole provided so many advanced techniques for using stencils. For today's card I used the Stencil Stacking Technique and created a Nautical Scene.

First I trimmed navy cardstock and adhered it onto the card front using Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I ink blend through the Altenew Caribbean Life Layering Stencil using the Altenew Blue Mountains Fresh Dye Ink and created a sea scene.

Following on from this I ink blend through the Altenew Caribbean Life Layering Stencil using the Altenew Coffee Break Espresso Crisp Dye Ink and created a beach scene.

I then stacked the Altenew Dotted Waves Stencil onto the Altenew Caribbean Life Layering Stencil and ink blend through the stacked stencils using Gold Pigment Ink. I just love the beautiful texture it created for the beach.

Tip: Plan ahead the order in which you want to use the stencils for the Stencil Stacking Technique.

Following on from this I created clouds and ink blend through the Altenew Caribbean Life Layering Stencil using the Altenew Blue Mountains Fresh Dye Ink.

I then stacked the Altenew Fine Tulle Stencil onto the Altenew Caribbean Life Layering Stencil and ink blend through the stacked stencils using the Altenew Blue Mountains Fresh Dye Ink. This is just a wonderful way to stretch the use of your stencils.

Following on from this I die-cut cardstock with the Altenew Seas The Day Boat Die and ink blend the die-cut using the Altenew Blue Mountains Fresh Dye Ink.

I then placed the Altenew Deco Wallpaper Stencil onto the die-cut and ink blend through the stencil using Gold Pigment Ink.

Following on from this I die-cut the Altenew Happy Holidays Script Die Set once with gold and then with navy cardstock to create a shadow effect sentiment. 

To finish I used the Altenew Stampwheel and stamped the Altenew Sohcahtoa Birthday Sentiment Stamp. I heat embossed it, adhered it onto the card front using 3D foam dots and added some sequins.

Inky Lily Card - Elements Of Floral Composition - AECP Level 3

Hi Everyone, today I am sharing with you my first completed card for the AECP Level 3 Courses.  

I know that I mention this in my previous AECP posts, but honestly after every course I have completed up to now I feel that I learned something new and are improving my knowledge of cardmaking.

This AECP Level 3 – Elements Of Floral Composition Course demonstrated how to use basic elements and rules to accomplish a balanced floral composition and Jaycee provided such great tips to achieve this.  

For today's card I used the Altenew Inky Lily Stamp Set with a few Elements of Art Techniques to create a balanced floral arrangement.

First I embossed white cardstock with the Altenew Inky Trellis Stencil and achieved a beautiful Texture Element of Art Background. This is such a wonderful way to to get more out of your stencils.

Tip:

Following on from this I added splatters using the Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set and Altenew Watercolor Fine Brush. I adhered it onto the card front using the Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

I then used the Altenew Stampwheel and stamped the Altenew Inky Lily Stamp Set onto blending cardstock. 

For my flower arrangement I chosen analogous colours and used the Altenew Artist Markers Rock Garden Set D. I just love the Altenew's Alcohol Ink Markers and it blends perfectly. The end result is a beautiful bright and striking coloured image.

Following on from this I added some textured on the lilies stamping with the Altenew Inky Lily Stamp Set using the Altenew Cloud White Pigment Ink.

I then die-cut the stamped images with the Altenew Inky Lily Die Set and used the Space Element to centre my floral arrangement. To achieve some dimension I used 3D foam dots.

To finish I stamped the Altenew Bold Sentiments Stamp with the Altenew Blue Mountain Fresh Dye Ink and adhered it onto the card front using 3D foam dots. I also added some sequins.
