Apple Blossom and Milkshake Baking - The Digi Bells Inspiration

Hi Everyone,

I made another mixed media card using Apple Blossom and Milkshake digital stamp found at Elisabeth Bell Designs Store. 

Now here is my card
using Apple Blossom and Milkshake digital stamp.

Coloured it with Copic Sketch Markers.

Sentiment: Whimsy Everyday Moments. Dies: Leane Creatif Blossoms. Ultimate Crafts Mini Sprigs. Cheery Lynn Designs Felicity Tiny Doily. Distress Inks: Tattered Rose and Shabby Shutters. Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa and Archival Black Ink.

I first used tissue paper randomly and coloured the background with distress inks. Used white metallic paint randomly and memento ink on the edges. Painted the dies with distress ink and metallic paint.

Seaside Izzy - Digi Designs Challenge

Hi Everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at
Digi Designs Challenge Blog

and the Theme is Just Add Water.

I made my second mixed media card.  I must say I enjoy making mixed media cards ... still not a big fan of having my fingers coloured with mediums LOL. But it is so relaxing and there is so many things you can do with mixed media. The big question is always like Marta is saying when do I need to stop.

Now here is my card

using Seaside Izzy digital stamp.

Coloured it with Copic Sketch Markers. 

Sentiment: LOTV Sentiment Tag. Dies: Leane Creatif Blossom. Ultimate Crafts Mini Sprigs. Marianne Design Sea Shells. Stencil: Memory Box Wave. Stamp: Just Rite Fleuriste Newsprint. Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans. Embossing Powder Shabby White Embossing Enamel.

I first use the stamp and Archival Black Ink. Used the stencil with texture paste.  I then used distress ink over the textured stencil. Used black gesso randomly over the background. I also added metallic paint on the edge and randomly over the background. I used distress ink and metallic paint on the dies and sentiment.

I just loved the mixed media background ... it gives a beach feeling.

Clown Hippo - Sasayaki Glitter

Hi Everyone,

I am so happy, I breaked my first blank page with water colouring paint. A Big thank you to Marta Lapkowska showing me that I also can do it in her Video - Breaking a blank page. It is so informative and helpful.

I first used water colour paint to paint the circles and background.  I splashed white paint over and distress the sides.

Now here is my my Sasayaki Glitter inspiration card 

using the Clown Hippo digital stamp. 

Coloured with Copic Sketch Markers.

The Work Bench

Hi Everyone, hope you all had a good week.

I did it ... I made my first Mixed Media card.  And as Marta is saying ... I break a blank page.

My journey with Mixed Media started watching Marta's - How To Break A Blank Page video. Big thank you Marta for your very informative videos. It helped me so much understanding what is needed for Mixed Media, what products to use and where to start. You made it all possible for me. Love watching Marta's videos and listening at all her stories.

I then bought Alyce Keegan's Mixed Media Class.  And as always her class did not disappoint. Thank you Alyce for your wonderful class and all the tips you shared. I once again have learned so much from you class and understand Mixed Media much better.

Now here is my card

using LOTV The Work Bench

Sentiment: LOTV Sentiment Tag. Dies: MFT Tool Charms. Impression Obsession Scribble Circles. Cheery Lynn Designs Burlap Border. Poppystamps Stitched Rectangle. White and Black Gesso and Modelling Paste. Stencils: That's Crafty Dinky Honeycomb and Tim Holtz Bubble. Stamps: Darkroom Door Stone and French Script. Distress Inks: Tea Dye, Walnut Stain and Old Paper. Viva gold paint.

I first stamped the stamps with Archival Black Ink. Gesso over the stamped images. I then used stencils with Modelling Paste. 

Then add colour using Distress Inks. I add some Black Gesso to bubble wrap and press it on the page randomly.  I also dry brush some gold paint over the textured stencilling.
